Christmas Has Come and Gone...

Hello everyone! First off, let me just say that I'm very sorry I haven't been around. Things are always crazy around the house(and will probably always be crazy).

I can't believe Christmas is already gone! It went by so fast. Well, we're still in the Christmas season so Sunday mass is still going to have incense!

I'm moving right along to what I got for Christmas because I am very anxious to just tell you all. I got *trumpet blares* hobbit slippers!

They look like this except WAY better in real life!

Not that I needed them (because I already have hobbit feet!) but they are pretty darn cool. One of my older sisters gave them to me and they are SO COMFY. I wear them ALL. THE. TIME.

Me when I opened the box on Christmas Eve

What else did I get? Let me see. Oh yeah! I got a gift card to Ruby's Diner from my Uncle Jr. And my Uncle Stinky (yes, we really call him that...) gave me some very cozy mittens and ear-warming thingy that looks like a sweatband. But they are SO STINKIN' WARM! I feel silly wearing it around the house and I feel like I'm an 80's aerobic dancer. Not that it's a bad thing! I think they're awesome!

And I, being the best gift-giver ever, made my aunts and uncles (even Uncle Stinky) mugs! Well, I didn't exactly make the mugs but I bought mugs and drew Disney characters on them. I will try to get some pictures of them in a different post. I drew Ewoks, Wendy Darling, Moana, Superman, Nick Wilde, Nemo, little Dory, and more! So come back and visit if you want to see what I did!

And, just in case I don't have time to write another post before the new year comes, have a happy New Year!

P.S. Hello Fawn's blogger friends and occasional visitors! This is Frodo Baggins and I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! Stay warm, everyone!

I'm Feeling A Little Paranoid Right Now

*crawls from under a table* Hi everyone! So is anyone else like really afraid what tomorrow has in store? Because *nervous laugh* I am.

Just watch this video and you might understand. And maybe laugh a little.

*breathes in paper bag* If you're wondering why I'm so worried is because the voters of the United States have my life in their hands. And millions of future Americans. "Why is your life in the balance of this election?" you might say. Well, because I'm homeschooled. And vaccinations aren't really my thing. So if a certain candidate wins, my homeschooling life is basically over. As well as the miracles that are taking place as we speak. (Human lives being born, anyone?)

(And I am very sorry for including politics in this post. I just needed a place to let my fears out...)

I'm really glad I can go back to Middle-earth and be safe there. I've been staying on Earth for a while and I realized that we're taking part of the "deep breath before the plunge".

On a totally different subject, I'm going to Disneyland on Friday! With a big group! So expect pictures if the world doesn't end before then. Who knows? Maybe I'll actually be in one of them. Because usually I take the pictures of everyone haha. I'm glad I'm going soon because I have something else to focus on besides what's going on in the world. (Comment below what your favorite theme park memory/attraction is!)

California Screamin' for the win!

So last week, Pippin and Merry were at our hole and it started snowing! So we went outside and started playing with the snow. Then, the funniest thing happened. Merry dropped his candy cane in the snow. And then when he licked it, his tongue got stuck! Pippin laughed so hard that he fell backward and knocked his head on a tree. After that, a bunch of snow came falling down on him. He reminded me of Anna from Frozen.

I would call that event a eucatastrophe! Haha, although I'm sure they wouldn't agree... XD

Sorry about this super rambly post but I hoped you enjoyed it! Stay safe everyone and God bless!

Q & A Tag from Nimrodel

Hello there! It's been a little while, hasn't it? I guess I don't really have any excuses at the moment. There is seriously so much I want to accomplish in one day that it takes me weeks to finish. *sigh* Life is too short. And too long on some days. Anyway, Nimrodel (Lover of Lembas) tagged me for the Q & A Tag! Thank you so much for giving me an easy ticket to post something!

  • Tag the blogger(s) who have nominated you
  • Answer the questions you were given
  • Nominate 10 bloggers
  • Write out your 10 questions
  • Let them know they’ve been tagged

Just a question, but why do we have to tag the person who tagged us? Isn't that defeating the purpose of a tag? Maybe I'm just to lazy (or compassionate) to tag Nimrodel right now...

Nimrodel's Questions!

Do you play a sport?  Is there a sport you want to learn?

No, I don't play any sports. Although, I used to be in Tae Kwon Do when I was six...

So nostalgic right now... I remember doing stuff like this!
I have a kick pad like that and all my sparring equipment...
Does Tae Kwon Do count as a sport? I was in a sparring tournament! I earned a few medals and proud of it... ;)

I think I would want to learn archery. That's a sport, right? Haha, I'm not even sure if these are sports.

Sunrise or sunset?  Why?

Ooh, this is hard. I'm going to have to choose sunrise because everything is still asleep. And I like watching light come not go. If that makes any sense...

*hums Circle of Life because I am
disappointed that I don't know the real words* XD
What was your dream job as a little kid?

I wanted to be a ballerina. Now I think I want to be either an animator, a writer, or a computer programmer.

What was the last movie you watched you really liked?

I watch so many movies in a week it's not even funny. I watched Radio Flyer recently... *remembers heart-stabbing sadness* It was a good movie. What else...? OH! CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR! Now that was a good movie. I really liked that one :D

What songs are stuck in your head?

Erm, Christmas songs. My dad has been making sure my sister and I have been working on our Christmas "performance" because last year we didn't do anything. So I've been combining religious songs with "regular" Christmas songs and figuring out chords for the piano and stuff.

What is something that makes you feel nostalgic?

When I watch anything LOTR/Hobbit related. OR when I watch an old TV show I used to watch as a kid. *cough Backyardigans cough*

If you were granted an extra hour to be added to your day (so you have 25 hours) what would you spend the hour doing?

Painting. On the computer. I don't know why but right now I'm obsessed with speedpaint videos on YouTube. So I've been painting some stuff on my computer. Here's one I made for my friend a couple of weeks ago...

I'm the orange pony and my friend is the pink one

What is one of the most embarrassing moments you're willing to share?

Oh, I've had a lot of those. Especially when my sisters are around. I'm not pointing fingers or anything but more embarrassing things happen when I'm with my sisters. One of the most embarrassing was my 13th birthday party. My older sister gave me this card that had something to do with old farts and the rest is humiliating history. I remember seeing all of my friends looking around awkwardly. Haha, I probably threw the card away as soon as the party was over XD

If you could customize your car license plate (for most U.S. readers, that means pick any combination of 5-7 words and letters) what would you want your license plate to say?

I probably would want it to be something related to God because that's my identity. I don't know! That's a good question...

Rivers, lakes, streams, ponds, or the ocean?

Streams! I was going to choose rivers but streams are much more peaceful.

Thanks so much, Nimrodel, for tagging me! Now I shall tag 10 more bloggers!

The Tagged Bloggers:

Well, sorry for the disappointment but Nimrodel follows some of the (very few) bloggers I follow...

And no one likes getting tagged twice. I know I don't... But I'm going to do it anyway! Haha! Take that lovely friends! :D

The Punished List of Tagged Bloggers:

Now for the ten questions:

1. What is your favorite thing about fall?
2. How do you eat a cupcake? (Trust me, there are several ways...)
3. How do you prefer your cookies? Crispy? Gooey? Half-baked? RAW?!
4. Is there a traditional food and/or dessert your family makes for the holidays? What is it? (Can I possibly have a recipe?!)
5. What is your favorite soup?
6. What do you eat for breakfast during the holidays? Anything special?
7. Do you carve out your pumpkins to decorate your porch during Halloween time?
8. Are you excited to eat all of the delicious food waiting for us in these coming winter months?!
9. Does it snow where you live? About how much snow do you get?
10. Do you make your hot cocoa special? Any extra marshmallows or whipped cream? Powdered cinnamon?! Does anyone drink champurrado?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

As you can tell by my questions, I'm hungry.  So I'm going to serve myself a bowl of pozole right now... Eat well, my friends!

Why I Am Obsessed With Annedroids

So there's this show on Amazon Prime that Liah and I watch. It's called Annedroids. And it's amazing. I love it. It motivates me not to groan when it's time to do science. It's a very educational show. And guess what?! My mom (bless her heart) counts watching this show as doing science(!).

This post is meant to explain my obsession with this show. Hopefully, it makes any bit of sense. If it doesn't, well I tried. Let us begin.

The Main Characters:

From left to right: Shania, Anne, and Nick

Shania is a hyper girl. She loves gymnastics, dancing, singing, and showing off to anyone who will watch. She is Nick's next door neighbor and lives with her grandma and three little brothers. There's a certain spark about Shania that makes her so lovable. She doesn't like to get dirty and is easily bored when Anne starts to explain something scientific to her. But she knows she must help Anne or else she risks missing out on something fun. She hates when something happens in the junkyard without her there.

Anne is the girl who lives in the junkyard with her dad. She is a scientist and has built three androids: Hand, Eyes, and Pal. The three androids help her with her experiments for school or for exploration purposes. She's never had any friends outside the junkyard since she's homeschooled. She is very interested in learning new things and loves to make things better than ever before. Anne is a very sweet and humble girl which is the perfect addition to the trio.

Nick is the new kid in town. He plays video games most of the time before he gets curious about the junkyard across the street. He's sort of introverted but Shania is a great counter balance for that. Being the only boy, he gives a different perspective on things when Anne needs to find a new solution to a problem. Nick lives with his mom who is a reporter for the local news. He goes to the junkyard whenever he can so he can help Anne build things and spend time with the androids.

The Thing I Absolutely Love About This Show:
Everything. The characters, the story line, how Anne ties her hair with cables and wires and it looks so darn cute. All of it. I just gobble it up and want to binge watch all the episodes. EVERY. SINGLE. WEEKEND.

The Thing I Hate Most About The Show:
The suspense! I had to wait a whole year to find out what happened to... never mind. I hate suspense so when I saw the third season was on Amazon Prime. What was my reaction? Must. Binge watch. NOW. What did my mom do? Not let me binge watch *headdesks obsessively*

If I tell you anything about what happens in any of the seasons, I will kill it for you. So I'll leave that there. There's only three seasons and we're one episode away form the end of the last season. The third one came out this summer and what was so crazy. In the beginning when Anne... *breathes heavily* And then Nick's mom... *breathes in paper bag* AND CURSE MAGNUS TECH AND ADA TOO BECAUSE... *runs off and nearly dies from suspense for the next season*

There isn't much about Annedroids on the internet. So I'm coming up with a name for the few fans of the show. So I am VERY proud to say that I am a Fandroid! Pretty clever, right?

Well, I hope you can check out the series somehow because it's a great show. Thanks for reading and I hope you're all ready for October! I can't wait!!!

HOORAY! *throws confetti*

So to celebrate their birthdays, I figured I could let them put something in this post! It's mostly going to be Frodo and I because Bilbo wanted a day to himself... *whispers* party pooper.

Frodo is going to write in bold Georgia and I'll write in Trebuchet for this post.

Hello everyone! Thank you for reading this post! Fawnabelle's going to ask me a couple of questions and I'm going to answer them.

I am?! Thanks for the heads up, Frodo...

Oh, *embarrassed laugh* sorry Fawn.

*reads from a sheet of paper* What is your favorite movie?

That's easy.  The Lord of the Rings.

Cool. Wait, it is?!

Well, obviously I would pick that! I thought you knew me well enough to know what my favorite movie was...

I know you very well, Frodo!

Oh yeah? What's my favorite classic Disney movie?

Um... Bambi? No wait, The Lion King.

No. It's Dumbo

*laughs so hard*
Dumbo is your favorite classic Disney movie?! It's not a bad movie but I just didn't- Whatever. I bet you don't know mine...

*rolls eyes* It's Beauty and the Beast. Come on, Fawn, everyone knows that.

Wha- Okay fine. I bet you don't know anything else.

Yes I do! In fact, I challenge you. Let's see who knows the other better! Disney style...

You're on! I can't choose so what are my top two favorite Disney princesses?

Anna and Rapunzel. What are mine?

*groans* you're so darn positive with these answers! Um, Belle and Tiana?

Yeah... what's my favorite Disney animal?

Dumbo. That was an easy one. What's mine?

No fair, that was an easy one! What's my favorite Disney villain?

Uh... ugh, I know this! I'm going with Gaston... (*whispers* please be right...)

Wrong! It's the Queen of Hearts...

Haha! One more point for me!

*pouts* what's my favorite Disney song?

What?! Okay first of all, how can you have a favorite Disney song?! There are too many to choose from!

Fine! What's my favorite song that is sung by a Disney princess?

It's um... it's... *thinks hard* Oh! Almost There. I'm positive.

How are you getting these right?!

It's a gift... what's my favorite song by a Disney princess?

It's either Reflection, Something There, Once Upon A Dream.

It's actually Something There, Once Upon A Dream, and When Will My Life Begin? . But I'll give you that one.

I guess.

Are we ever going to stop? I'm pretty sure they're getting tired of reading this... XD

Oh yeah. *clears throat*

So folks, it turns out Fawnabelle knows me pretty well. We hope you've enjoyed this post! Maybe we even made you laugh a little bit! See you next time!

And thank you for celebrating Bilbo and Frodo's birthday with us! Have a great day!

It's Called Being Fashionably Late

"A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to."

Yeah, you go, Gandalf! When have I never told you that though?

Thank you so much, Hamlette, for hosting the Tolkien Party of Special Magnificence! On with the festivities!

The Tolkien Tag *trumpet blares*

1.  How many books by J.R.R. Tolkien have you read?

I have read The Hobbit, The Lord of the Rings, The Unfinished Tales: Part One, and I'm determined to finish The Silmarillion by Thursday. Fingers crossed!

2.  Have you seen any movies based on them?

Yes... ALL OF THEM! :D

3.  Are there any scenes/moments that make you cry?

Yes... ALL OF THEM! Just kidding! A lot of them do actually. When Gandalf tells Frodo that hobbits still surprise him, when Sam tells Frodo that it's the farthest away from home he's ever been... *sniffle*

"Keep it together... be strong!"

4.  Are there any scenes/moments that make you laugh?

Of course all the funny Merry and Pippin scenes we know and love! We also can't forget when Gimli and Legolas count kills! Oh and the one where Gimli tells Aragorn to toss him XD

But with all the crying scenes, my heart is sad of the moment. Then my mind laughs at myself for crying and the way some people cry on screen... *slow grin* So I'm always stuck in the middle, haha.

OR BOTH?! Trust me, it's PAINFUL.
5.  Have you ever chosen a Middle Earth name for yourself?  If so, what is it?

Y'all know the answer to that one! Fawnabelle Baggins, at your service! *curtsies*

6.  Who would you want to party with/marry/fight to the death? (pick three characters)

HOBBITS, HOBBITS, HOBBITS! Seriously, any of the hobbits will do. I don't really know about the marrying aspect of this question because 1) they all get married except Frodo 2) I know them all very well especially Frodo and 3) just no. Therefore, I will exclude the marrying part of this question...

And fight to the death ALONGSIDE the hobbits. (I saw that I didn't really specify but I'm sure you got the message ;)

7.  When was the last time you visited Middle Earth, via books or movies?

Um, I live in Middle Earth...? But via books or movies, a couple of minutes ago. And every day before that... (and probably every day after this XD )

8.  Do you consider Gollum to be a villain?  Why or why not?

Yes and no. Sure he was a villain but then he helped us get to Mordor. So yeah... did I say "us"?! *nervous laugh* Next question please...

9.  How would you sum up what Tolkien's stories mean to you in one word?

How can one pick a single word? I suppose HOPE would do. Yes. Hope is my answer.

10. List up to ten of your favorite lines/quotes from the books or movies.

You expect me to pick 10?! I'll pick 10 from The Hobbit. That seems more likely to happen XD

In no particular order:

1. " 'What do you mean?' he said. 'Do you mean to wish me a good morning, or mean that it is a good morning whether I want it or not; or that you feel good this morning; or that it is a morning to be good on?' " -Gandalf, An Unexpected Party

2. "Now I know what a piece of bacon feels like when it is suddenly picked out of the pan on a fork and put back on the shelf!" -Bilbo Baggins, Out of the Frying-Pan into the Fire

3. "I came from the end of bag, but no bag went over me. I am the friend of bears and the guest of eagles. I am Ring-winner and Luckwearer; and I am Barrel-rider." -Bilbo Baggins, Inside Information

4. "Don't be a fool, Mr. Baggins if you can help it; and in the name of all wonder don't mention the word furrier again as long as you are within a hundred miles of his house, nor rug, cape, tiffet, muff, nor any other such unfortunate word!" -Gandalf, Queer Lodgings

5. "It sailed a hundred yards through the air and went down a rabbit-hole, and in this way the battle was won and the game of Golf was invented at the same time." -J.R.R. Tolkien, An Unexpected Party

6. "'Praps we sits here and chats with it a bitsy, my preciousss. It likes riddles, praps it does, does it?'" -Gollum, Riddles In The Dark

7. "For three days he sneezed and coughed, and he could not go out, and even after that his speeches and banquets were limited to 'Thag you very buch.' " -J.R.R. Tolkien, A Warm Welcome

8. "You should not be so fat. As you are, you must be with the last and lightest boatload. Don't start grumbling against orders, or something bad will happen to you." -Thorin, Flies and Spiders

9. " 'Dear me! More walking and more climbing without breakfast! I wonder how many breakfasts and other meals, we have missed inside that nasty clockless, timeless hole?' " -Bilbo Baggins, Not At Home

10. "I may be a burglar -- or so they say: personally I never felt like one -- but I am an honest one, I hope, more or less." -Bilbo Baggins, A Thief in the Night

I hope y'all have enjoyed this tag! Maybe learned a few things too! Check back again soon!

That Horrid Thing Called Procrastination

Hello and how are you all?! Who's excited for new things to come this coming school year?! I may (or may not) be able to have a successful one! It's a pretty far goal and honestly, I feel like I could do way more each year but I've got high hopes...

Anyway, so I have a lot of drafts ready to be published. And today is the day everything goes back to normal! We've been really busy here at home. Basically cleaning. All day. Every day. I am so glad that's over! I'm finally free to stick to my schedule and oh, the possibilities!!!

Oh, and concerning that movie review...
Yeah, we weren't quite able to do it. But I have a plan that is going to make up for that disappointment! So come back soon (but not too soon lol)! I will also be spiffying (that is probably not a word) up the blogs this year. I'm also hoping to finish the blog "There and Back Again: A Hobbit's Tale by Fawnabelle Baggins" this year! Gee, with all these ideas I'm putting out here, it seems like it's New Year's Eve again! Was that really only NINE months ago?!

*ponders where time went and what I have achieved this year so far*
There was something else... oh yes! Did you hear about that $800 LOTR/Hobbit DVD set?! Crazy huh? I mean, that's just... there are no words. I heard that it would cost that much to go to New Zealand from The United States! I also heard that some Ringer said it better have a deed to their own hobbit hole. And another said it better include hobbit DNA so they can clone one at home! That's so funny! Cloning hobbits at home! Heehee!

This little guy is so cute!

Which about that, who do you Big Folk think we are? Some animal that can just give entertainment or something? We hobbits have to be respected! I mean, really! We saved Middle-earth for crying out loud! *goes and talks to self before things get out of hand*

Welp, that's all I have for now! See you all soon!

And I Am Back!

Hello from the other side of the screen! And by that I mean YOU! All of you!

(Okay I have been running out of introductions so please excuse the one above.)

So, on June 19 I left for Europe to go on pilgrimage! It was a very looooong flight. Especially since I came from Middle-Earth and all...

So I was in Europe for 25 days! Well, Italy and France. It was an amazing experience and I did a lot of things. I mean we. We did a lot of things. No, Frodo and Bilbo did not come along but my family and friends on Earth did. There was a total of 11 pilgrims! Yes we were a traveling circus and drove around in a clown car. 11 people in a 9 seated van is not a nice ride. But it was a great time no doubt. We have been back for about 2 weeks and 3 days!

Well of course I'm going to show you pictures! What kind of blogger would I be if I didn't share pictures with you all?! I also snuck in some video for you!

Video of church bells ringing at Notre Dame in Paris, France

The thing about Saint Therese's body... it's not incorrupt. It's her bones and what's left of her body covered in wax. This is also the case with Saint Padre Pio.

We went to the Vatican as well but I didn't want to make this post too long. And I couldn't find pictures with me NOT in it.

And of course I had to miss all the fun stuff on Blogger while I was away! Like LoverofLembas' Palantir Podcast and all of your other posts!

Speaking of posts, my new schedule for the upcoming school year is pretty crammed so I'm warning you ahead of time. Blogging has been pushed back to the end of the day. I have blogging set for Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays (if I don't go to LifeTeen), and of course the weekends (if there are no family parties or a huge to do list of yard work).

So I hope to bring some new additions to the blog soon! Maybe this week?! I'm not sure yet but if I can, you'll be getting a movie review from me and a few friends!

If you have any questions or would like further detail about a specific place, please leave a comment and I'll reply post haste!

Have a blessed Sunday!
