The Hobbit 30 Day Challenge: Day 6

This is gonna be a tough one so I hope you're ready for this...

Hmm... Gollum wasn't being fair either. You can't really reason with him. So Bilbo used that as an advantage. If Bilbo was eaten, a whole chain of events would have destroyed Middle-Earth.

Me freaking out because Middle Earth could be destroyed

Gollum could have found it again and taken it to Sauron. Or the Arkenstone was found and given to Thorin. Then the Battle of the Five Armies could have been won by the evil and everything would be so horrible! There are so many possibilities.

So no, it wasn't fair. But sometimes bad things have to happen in order for good to triumph in the end. It wasn't fair that all the people who fought in any war were killed. But good won in the end.

What do you think of Bilbo's last riddle?

The Hobbit 30 Day Challenge: Day 5

Yay! Today is a good day! Even if it's dark and cloudy where I'm at. I have a very sunny disposition on this muggy Saturday.

I'll have to say Far Over The Misty Mountains. Are there any other songs I wonder? I know there is the Blunt the Knives song. Sorry for the short post. I will make it up to you tomorrow!

What's your favorite song/poem? Will you educate me and let me know if there are more songs? Thank you!

The Hobbit 30 Day Challenge: Day 4

Yayyy! So happy! I've been posting for four days straight! Wassup y'all?! Okay, I'm calm. And collected. Let's get to it!

YES I HAVE AND VERY PROUD! Like who wouldn't be proud to take the time to memorize riddles? Am I right or am I right? Okay riddle time! *clears throat*

1. A box without hinges, key, or lid,
Yet golden treasure inside is hid.

2. Thirty white horses on a red hill,
First they champ,
Then they stamp,
And then they stand still.

3. Alive without breath,
As cold as death,
Never thirsty ever drinking,
All in mail never clinking.

4. Voiceless cries,
Wingless flutters,
Toothless bites,
Mouthless mutters.

5. What has roots as nobody sees,
Is taller than trees,
Up, up it goes,
Yet never grows?

TA-DA! Those are all the riddles I know so far. I would like to memorize all of them eventually. That would be so cool!

Have you memorized any riddles? What are they? What's your favorite riddle?

The Hobbit 30 Challenge: Day 3

It's day three you guys! Whoop whoop!

I'd have to say Bilbo. I have trouble deciding to go or not to go. I have a Tookish side and a Baggins side. Most of the time, Baggins wins. Believe it or not, I sort of have a hard time with change. I just can't adjust very quickly like others.

I don't travel often but when I do it's most likely over seas... And my mom doesn't like me taking books and that results in me not having books at all (except a translating dictionary). At the end of the trip, I'm like I MISS MY BOOKS!

I hardly ever let my friends become the boss of me. Oh wait, NEVER! But I have respect for them all the same. I like to tell them nicely but seriously.

Very little of my friends come to me and ask me advice. Most don't but that's okay because they know I am always there for them when they need a shoulder to lean on. Or laugh on. Or cry on. Just kidding, no one's cried on me. Yet.

Sometimes they just need a warm hug and most of the spontaneous ones are... AWKWARD.

I get a little crazy and tend to overreact.

My friends be like
I'm pretty well-rounded. I say the obvious and repeat a lot of things. I think it's safe to say that Bilbo are kindred spirits...

Okay enough of me! What about you? Which character do you relate with most in The Hobbit?

The Hobbit 30 day Challenge: Day 2

Alright y'all. I had to do some research for this one because I couldn't really decide. So you can thank me now. Go ahead...

I know, I'm so awesome!

Okay this is day 2 of the Hobbit challenge. So let's get down to business!

I'm going to have to choose Gollum. They really improved the CGI and Andy Serkis' acting was terrific. I would imagine that it would be a little difficult to get back into character after such a big gap of time but he was great. You can see the difference in LOTR and The Hobbit.

The Hobbit

You see? Gollum's age is different (only 60 years but it obviously shows) and you can tell. When he had the ring, I mean "the precious", in The Hobbit his looks stayed the same. But once he lost it, his age started to show a little in LOTR. I've always liked Gollum in the movies.
Who's your favorite character design?

The Hobbit 30 Day Challenge: Day 1

So my plan is to do a challenge so I can get used to posting everyday. I decided to do the Hobbit movie one because it looks purty easy(plus there isn't one based on the book). I feel the fire growing in me... I'm ready to start.

Bofur is my favorite dwarf. I mean, that scene between him and Bilbo is too cute! I started crying in the theaters...

And the "think furnace with wings" and "one moment of searing pain and poof! You're nothin' but a pile of ash!" that was really funny. They even made a keep calm...

This is one of the reasons I gave the movies some slack. They gave the dwarves some personality traits and helped them come to life. I don't think Tolkien even thought of his books becoming movies. But although there are things that I dislike about the movies, I'm still glad they were made.

Who's your favorite dwarf?

Would You Rather? Star Wars Edition

Bum bum! Bum-bum-bum BUM! Bum! Bum-bum-bum BUM! Bum! Bum-bum-bum-bum BUUUUMMM! It's supposed to be the main theme song of Star Wars. I know it was kind of bad... sorry I'll fix it!

That's much better! My friend Cordy used this game during Star Wars week (which was last week). Well I don't know if it was "officially" Star Wars week but it's been a month since The Force Awakens came to the theaters. Anyway, it's a great game (especially since it's Star Wars related) and I decided to play it.

1. Would you rather pilot the Millennium Falcon, or an X-Wing Fighter?

I would totally choose the Millennium Falcon! If Rey can handle it, I can handle it! Besides, it's THE Millennium Falcon. Plus, Han Solo drove it. HAN. SOLO.

2. Would you rather face you worst fear in the Dagobah swamp or get stuck in a garbage compacter?
My worst fear in the Dagobah swamp. A garbage compacter is... *shudders*

3. Would you rather have R2-D2 as a co-pilot or BB-8?
Ugh! This one is so hard! But I think I would choose BB-8. Sorry, R2.

4. Would you rather have a lightsaber or a blaster?
Lightsaber! Duh! But a blaster would be pretty cool too... Can I have both?

5. Would you rather be trained by Qui-Gon Jinn or Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Definitely Yoda. Wait, he's not an option. Whoops. Obi-Wan Kenobi then.

6. Would you rather have to fight Palpatine/The Emporer or the inflamed Anakin on the volcano planet?
Eek, this one is hard too. I either have the option of getting electrocuted or burnt/falling into lava. It'll have to be the Emporer.

7. Would you rather be part of the first attack on the Death Star or the Battle on Hoth?
Battle on Hoth. I like the snow. And the elephant looking robots. What are those called? *searches Wookiepedia* Oh, AT-ATs. Yeah, I wouldn't remember a name like that *hears AT&T jingle*...

8. Would you rather drive during the speeder chase on Endor or the bounty hunter chase on Coruscant (in the Clone Wars)?
The speeder chase. They are so epically fast! Although, I'm not sure I could handle it...

9. Would you rather sit through a meeting of the Senate or watch a pod-race?
A pod-race! So exciting! But the weather... Ew. One word: sweaty.

10. Would you rather have to wear your hair like Padme or Leia?
Leia!!! I love her braided buns. They are awesomely original.

11. Would you rather fight Darth Maul or General Grevious?
Darth Maul. There are less lightsabers. The General has A LOT of arms...

12. Would you rather be part of the first attack on the Death Star or the attack on the planet/space station... thing, from the new Force Awakens movie?
The planet/space station thing looks like there is a higher probability of surviving so I'll go with that one.

Cordy, you are a genius for coming up with this fun game!

Now this is for you:

There are more on YouTube if any of you would like to see more Star Wars entertainment. There's one that's 30 to 35 minutes long so that should occupy you for a good while. Sundays are for rest so rest people! REST AND WATCH STAR WARS!!! Oh! And don't forget to watch The Lord of the Rings y'all...

Have a great and blessed rest of the day!

Sisterhood of World Bloggers Award

Alright, I have to admit it's been almost two whole months since I was awarded this but "better late than never" as they say. My wonderful friend and fellow LOTR nerd, Lover of Lembas, gave this award to me. Thanks so much!

Okay, I've seen harder questions but these will be a little thought provoking. Nothing against you, Lover of Lembas ;)

Okay, let's start!

1. In a movie of your life, what actress would play you?
A rather interesting question... I am not fully knowledgeable of Hollywood and their stars but I will try my best. I was told by a friend that I look like Maia Mitchell??? Who the hay is that? I have never heard of that name before. This is by far the hardest question on the list... NEXT PLEASE!

2.  If you could ask any author (living or deceased) one question, who would you ask and what would your question be?
Hmm... Just kidding! I didn't have to think about this one very long. I would ask J.R.R Tolkien: "Do you think a girl could go on the adventure with the Fellowship to destroy the ring?" Seriously! I would ask that! He knows every little detail and I would like to know his honest opinion. Of course, I will eventually rewrite The Lord of the Rings but would it work out? Anyway, next question...

3. If you were a warrior, what weapon would you use and why?
A bow and arrow! Because I wouldn't feel as bad if I was stabbing a living creature to death...

4. You've discovered a new star in the galaxy. What do you name it?
I don't know... Oh! I got it! I would name it Gildin. Gildin is Sindarin for "silver spark".

5. Pick your favorite fictional universe. Where in that world would you live?
Middle-Earth!!! Bag End, Hobbiton, The Shire. That was an easy one!

6. What fictional character do you most identify with?
Hmm... This is kind of hard. I'm not quite sure about this one either. Obviously, I'm most like Fawnabelle but I wouldn't consider her an official fictional character. I think I'm most like Hermione from Harry Potter maybe. The Hermione from the books not so much the movies. I mean, it's kind of hard to decide but I think I'll leave it with that.

7. What country would you most like to visit or move to?
New Zealand! But if I couldn't I would live in Italy. I love it there! It's like my third home because my second home is church haha :P

8. What book would you most want to adapt yourself or have adapted by someone else into a movie?
Haha, that is a hilarious question... I wonder what gave you that idea? Okay, I would want to adapt The Lord of the Rings and readapt ALL of the movies. So I (Fawnabelle) can be included in them.

9. What book would you never want adapted?
The Silmarillion. It's a great story and to rewrite it would be a HUGE no-no. Okay, last question.

10. If you were a cookie, what kind of cookie would you be?
A Wookie cookie! Because I would be Chewy! Haha get it? Chewbacca the Wookie?! *crickets*

Okay... But if I couldn't be a Wookie cookie, I would be a peanut butter or chocolate chip.

  2. Are you obsessed with that fandom?
  3. What is your favorite book and why?
  4. What is your favorite hobby?
  5. How much time and effort do you put into your hobby?
  6. Where would you live in any fictional world and why?
  7. What is your favorite movie and why?
  8. What is one meal that you think you can eat every day forever?

Thanks so much, Lover of Lembas, for the award and fun questions!
