I Think I Need To Get A Life... (BEWARE THE MY LITTLE PONY GIFS)
Hello there everyone! How's life? Have you seen those shirts where it has a 1-up mushroom from the Nintendo Super Mario Brothers game? And it says "Get A Life"?
Here I am blogging about my life while listening to the 10 hour version of They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard and still bobbing my head up and down. (I'm 6 and a half hours in, victory! And I'm jamming it so loud in my earphones my mom and sister are getting annoyed mwahaha XD)
Anyway, I was recently listening to some friends talk about their social media lives and they were talking about followers and all that stuff. Then they asked, "Well, your life is interesting so why don't you have a social media account for anything?" "I never really gave it any thought" I replied. I always thought it was unnecessary so I never bothered asking to have one. It's not that I think it's evil or brain-consuming or anything (my oldest sister says Pinterest is the devil). But it only is if you let it, right? I mean I'm sure some people never meant for it to go so far when they started out. Then again, I'm not the best judge of character. So I guess it just depends.
They then asked if my parents would let me have one. And I said yes. Of course my parents would check it weekly/biweekly to monitor what I was posting or sharing, who was following me, who I was following, etc. Which I appreciate ever so much because I've heard a lot of stories.
And since I'm homeschooled, I don't see other people everyday. They said they would never survive without their friends. When things got tough for them at school and wished they were homeschooled, they would go back. I kind of don't see how that helps them. But I don't think I fully understand going to school and having different friends in different classes. I've been homeschooled for pretty much my whole life. Plus I never really stayed at one school. Sometimes it was bullying, other it was too many kids the classroom, another was the teacher's opinions on Catholicism, and I think you get the idea.
I mostly started blogging for writing reasons not to make friends (although it's been fun meeting you all). I hated writing essays for assignments but now writing is my favorite pastime. I don't even consider it a subject anymore. How could it be? I write for fun now and I suppose that's why I dream of becoming an author. (This is so off-topic but it's flowing out of me so I'm gonna keep going...)
If you don't have social media, I'm right there with you. And I have a friend that HAD social media but recently deleted everything and he seems perfectly fine. I think it's a young people thing. But ask yourself, "Do I REALLY need to know how many people would follow me IF we had social media?" I don't think I need to know. But it might for some people. I am around very positive people (most of the time). I feel a lot better about this subject now. Thank you for reading me explain my non-productive day.
PINKIE PIE IS MY SOULMATE. WE ARE TWINS. SERIOUSLY. And I have done something today. Actually I've done A LOT today. I posted Pinkie Pie AND almost finished my end-of-year project that's due IN ONE WEEK FROM TOMORROW. Yeah, PRAY. My whole school year is based on this one project basically. And my mom and sister have finally put on some different music. Yay! You finally realized that I wasn't going to change it! XD
What can I say? Haters gonna hate...

She's skipping to "They're Taking the Hobbits to Isengard" lol XD |
ALL RIGHT I'LL STOP WITH THE PONIES. BUT I CAN'T GET THEM OUT OF MY HEAD! ESPECIALLY WHEN THE NEW SEASON IS COMING OUT THE DAY BEFORE EASTER!
Alright that is all my lovely bored friends. You are dismissed. Thanks and oh! I almost forgot. Did you know? THEY'RE TAKING THE HOBBITS TO ISENGARD!
Agh now I have that song stuck in my head XD
ReplyDeleteHaha, you're welcome! XD
DeleteI love pinterest! So. Many. Pretty. Pictures! Whenever I'm sad I like to go there and scroll through my "boreds". I've also started a few craft projects. Some of them work out, and others fail but it's an adventure for me.
ReplyDeletePinterest is one of those things that just make you feel so happy :)
DeleteOh how fun! Haha, yep I feel you with the whole fail thing but it's so much fun to do them! I'm glad you think of it as an adventure. It's helpful to think that! ;)
Sorry for not replying sooner! I had a draft and then it just got pushed back. It being the end of the school year and all! :)
